WILL THE LAXMI BOMB DAMPEN YOUR EXCITEMENT IN THIS DIWALI?
If you are fond of Diwali and unlike others love to bust the crackers, just add one more name in the list. Yes! You guessed it right, much-awaited Bollywood flick "Laxmi Bomb" is on the floor. The wait has been finally over and LAXMI BOMB will be available on Disney+Hotstar on this Diwali. However, we are not much sure as to how the audience is supposed to like it. The trend of the remake is not new in the industry and Bollywood is not an exception. Many great concepts, themes, and stories have been borrowed from different countries and platforms over time and Laxmi Bomb is one more name in it.
The trailer has been launched and the movie is of the horror-comedy genre. Those who have already seen the ghostly series of movies like KANCHNA can develop asymmetry in it. It holds so much similarity to the Tamil-Telugu movie Kanchana that it would not be inappropriate to name its remake of Kanchana. Surprising the Laxmi Bomb is written and directed by none other than the writer-director of KANCHANA, RAGHAVA LAWRENCE. The release date of the movie has been altered several times in the past and fell pray of hogwash. However, the release date has been finally confirmed yet it is not sure as to how the audience will appreciate it.
The trailer of the movie does not seem appealing and fails to attract an audience at large. The entire trailer seems to be messed up which starts with an eerie abandoned house/mansion and situations that haunt people dwelling in now and then and the seriousness breaks with time paced comedy. Akshay Kumar is known for his comic timing and definitely, that is the best take that Raghava decided to go for. And the trailer perfectly showcases it but failed to draw any reaction of humor or horror either. The horror-comedy is not a new genre in Bollywood and movies like Bhool Bhulaiya, Great Grand Masti are aptly proved their worth. It would be inappropriate to say that Akshay is portrayed as a transgender but in the few scenes, his looks seem inspired by Ashutosh Rana his co-star of Sangharsh. Even in the last scene of the trailer, he seems to be producing the same eerie sound that Ashutosh has already done in Sangharsh.
Why watch:-
Akshay Kumar has become the epitome of success more over the versatile actor is also known for his comic timing. Kiara Advani seems gorgeous as usual and can be a plus point to go for. Besides, it's been long enough since any good comedy movie has come up. And sops of repeated telecast might cause you a headache. And if you are a movie buff, you must enjoy the show.
